52 Week Photography Challenge 2016
Week 2: A red dress
Went for a portrait-style shoot for this week. Really wanted to capture the contrast of the bold red tones with the earthly and green tones of the park. Single light behind the head for some really nice hair highlights. Feel bad for my model because it was so cold outside !
Next week: loneliness
Week 9: Wings
Been extremely long since my last post. I don't mean to neglect these weekly posts, but unfortunately things happen. Decided to get crafty and do some light painting with this. Instead of doing something cleaner/more technical, I wanted to do everything I could in-camera. 20 second shutter with a flash to light and freeze the subject, then ran in to light paint.
Next week's possible themes: goodbye, jewel, or half of a whole
Week 1: A beard
This is my first week's photo for the 52 Week Photography Challenge. Each week I generate a random prompt to be the focus/theme of the photo.
This first one was captured pretty quick. The bearded gentleman is a friend of mine who I've known for about 3 years. He usually sports a huskier beard, but recently trimmed down to what you see here almost right before I asked him to take this picture.
Next week: A red dress.
